Introducing Forms, Scheduling, and our Roadmap for the next few Months 

At Tern we believe the future of travel is combining the personal touch and service of a travel advisor with technology better than anything self-bookers could access themselves. Today, we take another leap forward in the tools available to advisors within the Tern platform. 

Tern has already established itself as a premier tool for crafting exceptional itineraries, managing proposals, and tracking commissions effortlessly. Today, we're thrilled to unveil our latest suite of CRM features, further cementing our commitment to streamline the end-to-end workflow for travel advisors. Our recent webinar on November 16th was packed with updates, so much so that we're splitting the details into two blog posts. 

In this post, we’ll talk about what’s available in Tern today. In our next post, we’ll dig into what’s coming over the next few months. 

Introducing Forms: A Game-Changer in Data Management

As with every product we build, we started by listening. Our team at Tern conducted over 30 in-depth sessions with advisors to understand the needs of travel advisors. 

The result? Forms – a feature embodying the drag-and-drop simplicity Tern is celebrated for. These forms aren't just visually appealing; they're smart, automatically syncing with other Tern components. Imagine effortlessly populating CRM records with details like loyalty programs, contact information, and birthdays, all through a stunning Contact form.

Throughout the design process we looked for ways to bring magic to the experience. One area we heard was particularly tedious was manually entering passport data. With forms we've built-in passport parsing. Your clients can just upload a photo of their US passport and Tern will magically parse out the data.

Each form carries the unique brand of the advisor – complete with their profile picture, striking timeline photos, logo, and contact details, ensuring every client interaction amplifies their premium service.

Scheduling Made Easy: An integrated booking tool. 

We recognize that travel advisors invest a significant amount of time in scheduling meetings. With nearly 60% of advisors using separate scheduling tools, we saw an opportunity for integration. 

Tern’s new scheduling feature not only saves advisors month every month but also streamlines their workflow. It allows for defining multiple meeting types, integrates seamlessly into forms, connects with major calendaring systems, and ensures no overlaps with existing commitments. The result? A synchronized schedule that appears both on the advisor's and the client's calendars.

Tern and Learn: Making learning a new system quick and easy

Learning a new tool shouldn't be a daunting task. That's why we're introducing 'Tern and Learn', a community-driven initiative featuring a series of concise, informative videos ranging from 2-8 minutes. These tutorials are designed to help advisors master the Tern platform with ease, ensuring they can leverage all its benefits without a steep learning curve.

Tern users can access Tern & Learn through the “Learn” tab in-app starting today. We’ll be adding to this over time to keep it up to date. 

Free Trials and a Rewarding Referral Program

We believe in growing sustainably and in a way that enables us to remain responsive to our users. Free trials are something we’ve wanted to offer for a while now. We knew free trials would allow a whole new cohort of advisors to get into Tern and with it the volume of feedback would increase dramatically.

We're excited to announce that for the first time, Tern is offering free trials, allowing prospective users to experience our platform's value firsthand with a referral code from an existing Tern advisor. 

All current Tern users can find their unique referral code in Tern under their user settings.

All current users can now share a referral code found in their settings, offering newcomers 14 days free and a discount on their first month. As a token of appreciation, our early adopters will receive credits towards their subscription for every advisor who joins post-trial.
