It’s been a big couple of weeks here at Tern - from foundational improvements to exciting new features, we’re unlocking even more ways to plan trips faster, collaborate better, and deliver an exceptional client experience. Here’s a full look at what’s new and what’s coming soon.

Trip Overview Dashboard is Here—and Getting Better

We launched the new Trip Overview Dashboard to give advisors a clean, powerful view into each trip’s activity. Think of it as mission control for everything from bookings to task status to automation and payment deadlines.

You’ll now see:

• A list of bookings with confirmation numbers (copyable in one click).
• Upcoming activity like overdue tasks, scheduled emails, and payment deadlines.
• A timeline of past activity like when a trip was published or when terms were accepted.
• We’re also working on updates to the (soon-to-be-renamed) Bookings tab - previously called “Pricing”. This rename reflects how Tern is evolving to better match how you work.

Folders for Templates—Now with Sharing

We surprised everyone last week with folders for activity templates—and now, you can share those folders with your team!

Here’s what you can do now:

• Create folders (e.g. “Italy,” “Winter Escapes”) and bulk move items into those folders.
• Share folders with individuals, teams, or communities.
• Anything inside a shared folder becomes automatically visible to those you've shared it with.

What’s next?

• Subfolders are in development.
• We’ll roll out folders for all library item types—starting with email templates, then forms, and more throughout the coming weeks.

Personalized, AI-Powered Packing Lists

You’ve told us how much you love using Tern’s AI Destination Guides—and many of you asked about packing lists. So we built them!

Tern Assist now supports a dedicated packing list generator, where you can:

• Tailor lists based on destination, season, activities, and traveler details - like preferences and dietary needs.
• Guides will be nicely formatted and personalized to the prompts you provide.

It's just one more way we’re making it easy to personalize your client experience without adding hours to your day.

Signature Travel Integration: Now Available in Settings

You’ll now see Signature listed as an integration option in your settings. You’ll need to reach out to Signature to get started, but once you do, you can:

• Sync client marketing preferences
• Mass upload and manage preferences between Tern and Signature

End-to-End Invoicing Flow Upgrades

Invoicing got a major polish—especially for advisors looking to send quick, clean invoices before building a full itinerary. Here's what’s new:

• Memo templates for invoice details, saved to your settings and auto-applied to new invoices.
• Hidden itinerary and overview tabs when there’s nothing added yet (so clients only see what matters).
• A smooth flow from quote → invoice → payment, even if you’re working fast.

It’s now easier than ever to start with just a booking, send a branded invoice, and build the itinerary later.

New Text Editor for Notes & Landing Pages

The new text editor is now live on notes and landing pages, and coming soon to other parts of Tern. You'll get:

• Bold, italic, underline, bullets—all in a sleek toolbar that’s always visible 
• Undo/redo buttons 
• More consistent copy & pasting
• A more delightful writing experience overall - in line with what you expect from other text editors you work with

Referral Program Upgrade

Referrals just got a boost: When you refer someone to Tern, you’ll now get a $20 credit (up from $10), and they’ll get $20 off their first month. Everyone wins!

Find your referral link in your settings under Referrals.

Bug Fixes & Polishes

We also tackled some bugs and improvements:

• Date of birth now displays when parsing passports
• Fixed rare cases of duplicate contacts with form responders
• Minor UI polish and cleanup throughout the app
