Welcome back, Tern community! Excited to share all the latest updates from the past week 🙂
Our #1 requested feature for Automation was the ability to apply changes that you make at the Template / Workflow level to any trips or contacts you have already applied them to.
Last week, we introduced the ability to update email templates and propagate those changes everywhere. And now, we've extended that functionality to Workflows, Automation Templates, and Task Templates.
Imagine this: you've created a trip planning workflow, but over time, you realize certain tasks or emails just aren't relevant anymore. Or you need a few additional tasks and emails that you didn't originally include. Or maybe the copy of specific emails should be tweaked. With our latest updates, you can easily delete obsolete tasks/automations and add new ones with a few clicks. Plus, you can make edits to task/email content and watch those changes ripple out across your Tasks, Automations and Workflows effortlessly.
As a bonus, we’ve also upgraded our “ordering” logic on your Workflows, so that the order of your tasks and automations make sense. You can now see them sorted ascending/descending depending on what “due date” or “trigger” type they are. For example: automations sent before a trip start date will be ordered as: 60 days before, 30 days before, 2 days before, 1 day before, etc.
Now, let's dive into email enhancements. We've introduced a new "important" filter to help you prioritize your inbox. Any emails tagged with specific trips or contacts will be marked as important, cutting through the noise and ensuring you never miss a critical message. You can also archive emails now - which will hide them from your Important/Inbox views.
We're also working on email signatures and attachments, as well as open and click tracking. Email signatures might even be live by the time I publish this blog post!
Beyond our key features, we've also made some other notable improvements. We've added support for Thai Baht currency, improved how client email addresses are marked as ‘primary’ to make sure you are sending your automations out correctly, and spent a lot of time on bug fixing this past week! From fixing copy-and-paste issues to enhancing scroll bar functionality, we really appreciate you flagging bugs and areas that need additional polish and attention.
