Hi everyone,
We’re wrapping up the year with a major round of updates designed to make your Tern experience smoother, faster, and even more capable. After an amazing Tern team offsite and our big webinar launch, the product team has been hard at work refining the platform based on your feedback.
Here’s a quick rundown of what’s new, plus a lightning-fast recap of the powerful new features we unveiled during our recent webinar.
We know small changes can make a big difference in your daily workflow. Here are this week’s highlights:
1. More reliable image imports from URLs
You can once again import images directly from URLs in the Media tab with improved reliability.
2. Client suffixes now appear in email search
No more guessing between John Smith and John Smith Jr. — suffixes now display in the email recipient search, perfect for multi-gen family trips.
3. Cleaner “Trips Shared With Me” view
Archived trips are now hidden by default, keeping your list tidy and faster to load. If you ever need them, just toggle the filter to view archived trips.
4. Clearer optional add-on messages
Optional items that are fully completed will now show as “ready for authorization after selections” instead of “not ready,” reducing confusion.
5. Automatic document naming
When you upload a file, Tern now uses the document’s file name automatically. You can still edit it anytime — just one less step to worry about.
6. Easier navigation in Agency Commission Statements
We fixed an issue where the “Date Received” filter was misaligned, ensuring smoother month-to-month navigation.
Looking for a quick recap of what we covered during the webinar? Look no further!
We’ve enhanced our Project Expedition integration to give you more power and flexibility.
Now, your clients can book Project Expedition tours directly from their itinerary, without you manually collecting credit card details.
Once you connect your Project Expedition API key in Settings → Integrations, you’ll be able to:
It’s a more streamlined, modern approach to supplier integrations — and this is just the beginning. Plus, since the webinar, we added new improvements:
You asked, we listened. You can now swap entire itinerary days with one click.
If your client decides to switch activities between days, you can use “Swap with Next Day” or “Swap with Previous Day” without losing any data. Smart rules ensure that booked items and flights stay intact.
You can now upload up to thousands of photos, organize them into folders, and switch between gallery or list view.
We’ve also added high-quality royalty-free images sourced directly from Unsplash and curated Tern community photos for the most searched travel keywords — giving you access to stunning visuals right inside your library.
When adding images to itineraries, you can now:
AI Assist has gotten a serious upgrade. If you’ve tried it before and found it slow or inconsistent, it’s time to give it another go.
It now:
As we head into 2026, expect even more AI-powered enhancements to make building and editing trips effortless.
With the holidays around the corner, the product team will be taking a short break before diving into an ambitious 2026 roadmap — focused on faster workflows, deeper supplier integrations, and even more automation for advisors.
We’re endlessly grateful for this community and the feedback you share. Every update we make is built to help you save time, stay organized, and focus on what you do best — creating unforgettable journeys.
Until next time, happy holidays from the entire Tern team.
