Hey there, Tern community! Welcome back to another weekly product update with Tern. We can't wait to share the latest and greatest enhancements we've rolled out.
We've made some big updates to make your email experience smoother than ever. You'll notice that variables now work seamlessly when you're replying to threads in your trips. Plus, we've added support for images, so you can add that extra visual flair to your emails. And to prevent any accidental clicks, we've introduced a confirmation modal to make sure you really want to navigate away from your work.
And don’t worry - we know you've been eagerly awaiting features like signatures, attachments, font color/highlighting, as well as open and click tracking. They're all in the pipeline and coming your way very soon.
Now, onto the Inbox. We've heard your feedback loud and clear, and we've made some important changes. No more spam messages cluttering up your Tern inbox. Plus, we've tidied up those long-threaded responses by collapsing them, just like you'd see in Gmail or Apple Mail.
And there's more good news! We're introducing the ability to archive emails from Tern and a handy filter to easily find emails associated with your Tern trips and contacts in your global email inbox. Stay tuned for those updates in my next product update.
We've been hard at work here too. Say hello to the new primary contact role, which allows you to target specific Trip Contacts more easily.
We've also added a new automation trigger type – which lets you set up automations based on when the trip status changes. Plus, we've streamlined the process of assigning tasks to yourself, saving you valuable time.
Finally, we've introduced a handy new button that lets you apply updates to your email templates across all your automations with just a few clicks. No more manual updates for every single workflow 🙂

We've implemented some behind-the-scenes changes to help mitigate spam responses in forms, made it easier to search for contacts with non-exact matches, and distinguish between different ‘dollar’ currencies in Tern more clearly.
