Introducing the New Calendar View (Open Beta)
We’ve just released a new calendar view in open beta. That means it’s live and available to all advisors, and we’re actively gathering feedback to improve it.
What you’ll see in this first version:
Trip start and end datesIncomplete tasks with upcoming due datesClient passport expirations, birthdays, and anniversariesThe 'next send date' for upcoming automations
You can find it by clicking the calendar icon in your topbar. While this is a robust starting point, we have a number of improvements on our radar - like showing payment due dates - and your feedback will help us prioritize what comes next.
This feature has been one of the most requested on our feedback board, with hundreds of upvotes. We’re excited to finally deliver it, and even more excited to keep refining it. Learn more
Smarter Forms and Cleaner Contact Data
We’ve also made significant upgrades to how Tern handles client contact data, especially in scenarios where not every traveler has an email address.
Here’s what’s improved:
You can now require an email address from the primary traveler only, while keeping it optional for others.
Tern now intelligently auto-sets relationships and matches on relationship to update existing contacts when forms are submitted, instead of creating duplicates in those cases.
Travelers without email addresses—like children or dependents—are now linked to the primary traveler, allowing for accurate record keeping without forcing unnecessary fields.
This change eliminates a major source of duplication and manual cleanup, especially for family and group travel. Learn more
Organize Your Library with Automation Template Folders
You can now create folders to organize your automation templates, just like you can with itinerary and workflow templates. Features include:
SubfoldersBulk organization toolsFolder-level sharing across your team
Speed and Usability Improvements
In addition to launching new features, we’ve rolled out several quality-of-life improvements:
Shared With Me trips now load significantly faster, even for users with hundreds of shared trips.
The list of agents when logging adjustments is now alphabetized, making it much easier to find the right person.
Expected Commission Date can now be exported in your booking csv, helping you quickly identify and resolve missing data.
Coming Soon: Trip Editor and Email Editor
Pending final testing, we’re planning to release the new Trip Editor to all advisors tomorrow. It’s been in closed beta, and we’ve made key improvements based on your feedback. We’re also putting the finishing touches on the new Email Editor
. It should launch in the next week or two.
We Want to Hear From You
As always, your feedback is what drives product development at Tern. Whether it’s thoughts on the calendar view or suggestions for how we can further streamline your forms and workflows, we want to know what’s working—and where we can do better.
Thanks for being part of the journey. We’re building this platform for you, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to support your business every step of the way.
