Print-Worthy Perfection: A More Polished PDF Experience in Tern

The highlight this week is a big upgrade to how your itineraries look when you export them as a PDF!

Molly Johnson

Hi everyone! Molly here, sharing the highlights from this week’s Tern product update. We’ve been hard at work improving some of your most-requested features, and I’m thrilled to walk you through what’s new.

A More Polished, Print-Ready PDF Experience

For many of you, providing clients with a beautiful, physical copy of their itinerary is a must. We’ve heard your feedback loud and clear, and we’ve made significant updates to improve the look and feel of Tern’s PDF downloads.

Here’s what’s new:

A more prominent, stunning cover photo that makes a great first impression.

Smarter page breaks that prevent awkward gaps and improve readability.

Cleaner layouts that automatically hide days without plans or custom titles, keeping your itineraries sleek and professional.

We’re still refining the design and collecting feedback, so if you notice opportunities for improvement, keep sharing your thoughts. Your input directly shapes how these features evolve.

Quality of Life Improvements

Improved Currency Display Across Payments: For advisors working with multiple currencies, we’ve introduced clearer currency indicators throughout the Payments tab.

Better Editor Usability on Smaller Screens: We’ve optimized the new text editor for smaller devices, ensuring that editing itineraries or communications on the go is smoother than ever.

Smoother Agency Dashboard Experience: We’ve also polished the agency dashboard. If your metrics don’t yet have data to show, you’ll now see a clean “empty state” rather than an error message.

More Efficient Agent Payout Emails: We now save your preference for whether to send an agent payout email or not, and also pre-fill the custom note you most recently added.

We have a few more exciting features that are almost ready to share. Excited to post about them next week!
