Automate the moment you add
A new trigger fires an automation the second it is applied to a trip. No waiting for client approval or trip status change, or trying to calculate it from a trip date Set the automation to active when applied, and it sends immediately.
One thing to know: if you deactivate and reactivate the automation, it will trigger again. So if you're adjusting settings, do it before you apply.
Relative timing (trigger 1 day after adding, 2 days after, and so on) is coming soon. This is the foundation.

Log in with a passkey
Two-factor authentication is an important security measure. But text messages don't always arrive, especially when you're traveling, and an authenticator app is one more thing to manage.
Passkeys give you the same level of security without the overhead. Use your fingerprint on your laptop or Face ID on your phone.
To set it up, go to your security settings, click ‘enable’, and follow the instructions from there. The next time you're prompted for 2-factor verification, passkeys will be an option.

A cleaner way to take notes
The notes experience got a full redesign. Open any contact or trip note and you'll find a new drawer where you can add a title and write using a rich text editor. If you're in notes frequently, you'll notice the difference right away.

Back-office improvements for agency owners
A few additions for agencies managing more complex operations.
- We’ve introduced an Agency Supplier ID field, to help you cross-reference against your external CRM. We pre-fill with a unique Tern ID, but you can overwrite it to whatever you want.
- The statement creation flow now handles aggregators cleanly. Previously, the structured supplier field worked well for named suppliers like Royal Caribbean, but aggregators like Onyx and Paymode don't belong in your supplier list. Just toggle to “multiple suppliers” when creating a statement, and you’ll see a plain text option for those cases. When you add adjustments or unclaimed bookings, Tern won't pre-fill the supplier field for aggregators, which avoids the confusion of a single-supplier assumption when you're working across multiple.
- The booking modal now includes a direct link to the statement it was reconciled on. If you move between bookings and statements regularly, you'll notice it.

Insurance deposit dates
- When getting a quote with an insurance integration, you can now edit the deposit date directly on the insurance tab on the right side panel.

What's coming
3 closed betas are running right now: itemized package pricing, agency ‘approve for payout’ statements, and host agency commission reconciliation. If you're interested in early access, reach out to molly@tern.travel.
There's also a Q1 product launch webinar coming up. A lot of what's been in development isn't in this update by design. If you want to see what's been building in the background, that's where it'll be!
