Clearer guarantees, AI Chat has a new home, and easier contact clean-up

Clearer pricing for travelers, a new home for AI Chat with cruise and photo tools, agency-wide duplicate contact detection / merging, and a forms quality of life update you've been waiting for!

Molly Johnson

This week we made it easier for travelers to understand exactly what they owe, gave AI Chat a new home and a few new tricks, and shipped two of the most-requested upgrades for agency owners. Plus the usual round of smaller fixes.

A clearer pricing view for guarantees

Previously clients were misunderstanding how much they still owed on a trip, since the "Remaining" amount would go down as soon as they authorized. This particularly caused problems for guarantee payment schedules, where the advisor will not make the payment with that authorization, and the client will need to pay on arrival.

With this update:

  • What used to be "Remaining" is now "Balance due."
  • Active authorizations no longer reduce this amount, since the payment hasn't actually been made yet.
  • Unpaid guarantees are now called out separately as "Balance due on arrival."

AI Chat has a new home, and a few new abilities

AI Chat is out of the Notes menu and into its own hub on your dashboard. You'll see your recent chats up top and a few suggestions if you're not sure where to start.

While AI Chat was moving in, it picked up a couple of new capabilities:

  • Search and apply cruise templates. Ask for a Caribbean cruise in February, and AI Chat surfaces options from your library. Ask for two separate itinerary options on the same trip, and it adds both.
  • Add photos to trips. Ask AI Chat to find images for each port on a cruise, and it searches stock photos and attaches them across the whole itinerary. Try this for any trip activities to add tailored photos.

If you haven't tried AI Chat yet, this is a good week to start. Drop your best use cases in the Facebook community so other advisors can borrow them.

Find and merge duplicate contacts

There's a new option on your Contacts page: view duplicate contacts. Tern surfaces suggested matches with a confidence score so you can see what's clearly a duplicate and what needs a closer look. Click in to review side by side, swap the source if you want to merge the other direction, and confirm.

For agency owners, this is the bigger story. For the first time, you can merge duplicate contacts shared across different agent owners, not just within your own list. If you're a Signature agency dealing with strict duplicate rules on submitted data, this should save you real time. Learn more.

The sales by advisor pie chart

You asked for this one. A lot.

Your agency reports now have a sales by advisor pie chart showing who's booking what. Filter by this year or this month. Direct sharing with advisors isn't in yet, so for now a screenshot works well for weekly check-ins with your team.

Quality of life

  • New columns in Explorer views. Total, paid, balance due, and authorized are now available across Explorer reports. Open the three-dot menu and use Add (not Filters) to bring them into your table. Works for advisor and agency-wide views.
  • Trip names on calendar payments. Payments due now show the trip name alongside the activity. Hover for the full text if anything gets truncated.
  • Clearer required fields on forms. Required fields now show a red asterisk. If a traveler tries to submit with one missing, they'll be bumped straight to that field with a clear error message.
