A Brand-New Editor - Now Live for Trips and Activities

It’s here. After months of testing and your thoughtful beta feedback, the new editor is now live across all trip and activity types.

What’s new?

• Default colors that feel more aligned with advisor brands
• A streamlined color picker, so you don’t need hex codes to match your vibe
• Text alignment controls (yes, you can finally center that paragraph)
• Better copy/paste, undo, and formatting behavior—you’ll feel the difference immediately

Formatting tools are now easier to find, living at the top of the screen for fast access. Prefer the old highlight-to-style flow? That still works too.

Next up: we’re aiming to launch the new editor in messaging early next week. We’ll roll it out more broadly depending on beta feedback—so stay tuned!

Traveler App Glow-Up: More Visual, More Helpful

We’ve rolled out a major update to the Tern Traveler app, shaped directly by feedback from you and your clients. This refresh makes the app both more intuitive and more delightful to use mid-trip.

Here’s what’s new:

• Improved trip visuals for a more polished and immersive experience
• A date picker and enhanced calendar view, so it’s easy to navigate long itineraries
• Auto-scroll to today for in-progress trips (no more manual scrolling on day 5 of 10)
• Day-of-week abbreviations on activity headers (another popular request, now done!)
• Quick access to documents, even mid-scroll

We also knocked out some quick fixes based on your flags—logo display, link visibility, and font scaling for accessibility. All of this is already live in the App Store.

Calendar Beta: Iterating Fast Based on Your Feedback

You’ve been loving the new calendar - and also telling us exactly what could make it even better. Based on your feedback, we’ve already released several improvements:

• “Show more” toggle to prevent overly tall day cells
• Filter by event type (for example - hide birthdays or automations to reduce noise)
• Filter by trip status to show only active or planning trips

Also on our radar:

• Sticky filters that persist when you navigate away and return (should be out soon)
• Payment due dates on the calendar view (this one’s a bigger lift, but it’s on our priority list)
