Hi everyone! Molly here from the Tern product team. We’ve got some exciting updates this week designed to save you time and make your workflows smoother than ever.
AI Assist just got a major upgrade. When you import an itinerary or activity into Tern, our system now automatically identifies verified hotels in our database - and enhances your imported lodging items with structured property details and photos.
This means you’ll see beautiful, ready-to-share hotel entries without any extra steps. Verified properties will automatically include accurate hotel details and high-quality media, helping your itineraries look polished and professional right from the start.
If your lodging import matches one of our verified hotels, you’ll see an “enhanced with verified media and details” label confirming that AI Assist has added all the right information for you.

We've tweaked the way you copy and paste images on the media tab of any trip activity. This is a smaller change to support some big surprises we have in store.
As an update since the video was recorded: thank you for sharing the feedback related to this change. Our team is working hard to make sure things work as you expect, and will make sure feedback is fully addressed (or the experience is rolled back) before the weekend!
We’ve polished the Team Management and Agency Settings pages to make them clearer and more intuitive. Here’s what’s new:
While these changes might feel subtle, they lay the groundwork for bigger improvements in how hosts and agencies manage their teams within Tern. Stay tuned for more!

We heard your feedback around how the default payout date logic works for agency administrators. If you set it up to default to 'travel start' or 'travel end' dates, and an activity doesn't have a specific date, it doesn't work as expected.
Now, if an activity doesn't have a date, we'll fall back on the overall trip dates to use instead.
For those managing group trips, we’ve expanded collaborator permissions. Advisors who have collaborator access to a group trip can now move regular trips into that group — not just the group trip owner.
We’ve also resolved a visibility issue where cruise room categories weren’t appearing for room options. Room categories now display correctly across all cruise options in your itineraries, ensuring your clients see the exact room type they’re booking.
