Hey there, Tern community! It’s been an incredible week at Tern, and we’re buzzing with excitement to share some of the updates that are set to make your travel planning experience smoother, more flexible, and yes, even more enjoyable.

Introducing Partial Payments

We've listened to your feedback, and the star of our latest update is the introduction of partial payments. This means you can now offer your clients the flexibility to authorize credit card payments in smaller, more manageable amounts. Whether it's for lodging, transportation, or any travel-related activity, partial payments allow your clients to spread the cost over time, making it easier for them to manage their budgets and commit to their dream trips without the pressure of a full payment upfront.

Your Brand, Front and Center

We understand how important your brand is to you. That's why we've made improvements to ensure your logo stands out more on itineraries and forms. It's all about making sure your brand is visible and memorable, ensuring your clients remember the exceptional service you provide.

Streamlined Client Contacts

Sorting through your contacts just got a whole lot easier. We've separated first names and last names into two columns, allowing you to organize your contacts more efficiently. This small but mighty change is designed to save you time and make managing your client list a breeze.

Personalized Messaging on the Horizon

We're also laying the groundwork for more personalized messaging. Soon, you'll be able to send messages that feel more like personal emails, complete with customizable subject lines. This update is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance communication between you and your clients, making every interaction feel special and tailored.

Continuous Improvement: Bug Fixes and More

Our engineering team has been hard at work squashing bugs and enhancing the overall quality of Tern. From improving autosave functions to ensuring forms are correctly ordered, we're committed to making sure your experience with Tern is as smooth and reliable as possible. Here are a few highlights: 

  • Better auto saving on forms! Say goodbye to issues with phone numbers and other fields. 
  • Form submitters will now default to having full access on the trip. This should reduce access issues for form submitters.

  • Partial Payments: This setting lets clients authorize payments towards the full cost, deposit, or next installment at their convenience. It's perfect for clients who wish to make payments whenever they find themselves with extra funds.
  • Installment Payment Schedule: Break down the cost of a trip into manageable chunks with the option to add installments at any time. This feature helps keep your clients on track with their payments, ensuring a smooth financial journey towards their trip.
